All foreign nationals (except Indian citizens) require a visa to enter Nepal. Visas can be obtained on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport or at various land border entry points.

Requirements for Visa on Arrival
- Passport valid for at least 6 months
- One recent passport-size photo (45mm x 35mm)
- Completed visa application form (available at entry points)
- Proof of onward travel (for some nationalities)
- Cash payment in USD or other convertible currency
Visa Application Process
- Fill out the visa application form (available at airport/land entry points)
- Submit form with passport and photo at immigration counter
- Pay visa fee at designated bank counter
- Present payment receipt to immigration officer
- Receive visa stamp in passport

Important Notes
- Visa fees are non-refundable
- Children under 10 get free visa
- Indian citizens do not need visa
- Some nationalities must obtain visa in advance (check with Nepalese embassy)
- Overstaying visa incurs $5/day penalty
COVID-19 Update
As of 2023, no vaccination certificate or PCR test is required for entry. Health insurance is recommended but not mandatory.
